Charity Concert delight!
What an absolute pleasure to perform at the Crooked Spire in Chesterfield for the Citizens Advice Bureau. They are celebrating their 30th Birthday and we are celebrating our 10th Birthday by supporting 10 charities!
Diary of a Diva
Last night we had the absolute pleasure of performing at the Crooked Spire in Chesterfield. We were supporting Chesterfield Citizens Advice Bureau to help them raise funds as part of our 10 year 10 charities campaign. Yes....Citizens Advice is a charity and has to raise funds to survive. None of the Divas knew this before we were approached by them to enter the race to be one of our 10 sponsored charities. This astounded us and we hope that we not only raised funds last night but also made people aware of this astonishing fact. They do a great job supporting the people of Chesterfield and we hope we did a great job supporting them last night.
They are celebrating their 30th Birthday and we indeed had a party! We had a great time and sang our hearts out in the beautiful Crooked Spire. The vicar and staff made us feel very welcome and Linda, Julie and the staff from CAB had worked so hard to make the audience and us feel spoilt with refreshments to die for. Thank you CAB and we hope you enjoyed having us perform for you as much as did singing for you.
Must tell you my highlight of the night - one lady said what a surprise we had been to her -she thought she was coming to see 4 men singing called 'Divo...Divo something' - surely she didn't expect to see Il Divo for £10 in Chessie?!!! She said we were a good surprise!
And remember .......keep singing'!
